The new pupster!

By raquelcantu07

I had mentioned in a previous post that my brother’s old english bulldog passed away to due a kidney disorder which showed up because of an infection called Leptosperosis. Well ever since he passed, my dad has been trying to talk to my brother about getting a new dog because they both were upset. My brother didn’t think it was a good idea and didn’t seem so interested in the idea of a new dog. The new dog wasn’t meant to replace Riley, my brother’s dog, but more to just have another dog running around.

A few days ago I took my dog to the vet, for a check up, some more vaccines, and just to make sure he’s okay. Everything checked out okay, but I made sure to tell the vet that my dog has been upset lately, maybe depressed, because he doesn’t have a companion anymore. The vet said to give him extra attention and maybe look into gettin another dog.

Well my dad has been looking into breeders near by that breed regular english bulldogs, not an old english who have longer legs. He found one in Brooklyn, who has 9 puppies available. My brother and father went on saturday to “check out” the puppies, how they looked and what not. He said they were not definately buying the dog. But to my suprise I got a phone call while I was at work from my dad who said they got a 9 week old bulldog. Well actually I wasn’t suprised, I knew that my father really wanted a new dog, and missed Riley a lot.

And let me tell you that, Maximus (the name is questionable still) is by far the cutest, fatest, little puppy ever!
