Stanley Cup Playoff’s LETS GO RANGERS!

By raquelcantu07

I was so nervous watching game 5 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Originally the Rangers had a three goal lead until the second period came and changed the game drastically. Second period came along and it was a one goal difference between the two teams. I missed most of the second period because I was busy getting ready. I remember though the third period I was shaking, the time was running out and there was only a one goal difference, one goal by the Devils could have tied the game. In hockey when you know your loosing, in the last few mintues of time, coaches pull the goalie out which put six people on the ice attacking the opposing goal. All I know was when they pulled the goalie and the RANGERS got that goal on the open net to make the score 5 to 3, the game was over. I was so excited when the time finally ran out and the Rangers got the win. Now this win gave them the series, they won four games out of five played. If they had lost they would have had to play again because its a best out of seven series during the playoffs. The Rangers now moved onto the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. They choices of opponents are the first seed which is Montreal Canadiens, or the eighth seed which is the Boston Bruins. Boston and Montreal are tied three to three in the seven game series, so whoever wins the next game takes the series. I would prefer the Bruins win the series and play the Rangers in round two because the Bruins are the eighth seed. Its suprising that the Bruins are tied with Montreal, but than again the playing is so much different in the playoffs, everyone is pushing to play there best to get those wins. Hopefully whoever the Rangers play next, they will still push through to round 3. I definately will go to at least one of the Rangers round 2 games in the series!! GO RANGERS!
